2d generalist, art-lead
The studio was interested in growth. So I took on the responsibility of working as an art lead.
I work directly with the studio head and art-director.
I discuss the vision, wishes, propose solutions, defend the vision.
I discuss and approve the timing of the overall project. I plan the team’s work and approve deadlines.
I set the vision for the project as a whole, including animations and sounds. I receive feedback and then I formulate the feedback in understandable language for the team.
I monitor the implementation and progress of the project. I work with the team. I give tasks. I organize order in the team’s work. I organize order in the storage of PSD files.

This is a studio specializing in very high quality casino games.
I participated in the entire work process as a 2D generalist. My procces consited of: first concepts and sketches, rendering, post-effects, preparation assets for integration. I often worked with other team members and often took on parts of the process, such as sketching, rendering, or making changes after receiving feedback.
I did:
Game screens, symbols, user interface, logos, fonts, banners, preparing game assets for animation and integration.
I used blender, neural networks, photoshop and illustrator.
And after one year and a half I was asked to become an art lead.
As an art lead, I created the games' art style and coordinated it with art directors and producers to get approval. I also discussed timing and who could do what.
And then I worked with the artists to keep the quality and style at the right time. I supervised artists, taught them and guide them where necessary.
I had from 3 to 10 people on my team.
Below will be projects I was responsible for as an art lead (I was responsible for characters, backgrounds and illustrations)

While working at Saber Interactive, I started drawing custom illustrations in the evenings.
I worked as an self-imployed artist. I negotiated with clients about their vision, timelines and prices. The negotiations were in written English.
I made illustrations, portraits, concepts that matched the vision and met the agreed deadlines.

In my last year of study at the academy, I came to this company with the words: “My dream is to work in game development, I want to be part of your team!”
So, I got hired and started working at my dream job during my senior year.
We made slots for IGT and the social casino slototerra.
I worked for this company for 4 years and became a valuable member of the team. While working I did everything: characters. backgrounds, user interface, symbols, logos, banners, texturing and low poly modeling for diffrent casino games as well as cutting and exporting files both for animation and for export for further integration.
I met the deadlines, was in style, and worked with the customer’s feedback.
We worked as a team of artists. And we worked with game designers, integrators, programmers and animators to create games for our clients or for our studio.
We made a lot of different games.

We have an approved skin for dota 2! Here it is: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/2WZQK
Already studying at the academy, I knew that I wanted to work in game development.
In my 4th year of study, I began to participate in the creation of fan skins for Dota 2 Steam workshop. We worked together in teams to create fan-skin for Dota 2.
In teams I made everything about 2d: concepting, texturing, key-art and promo-art.
I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to study in this department, and in this university. Since this is the best university and department in St. Petersburg.
I prepared a lot for admission and got into free training the first time.
I studied graphic design in all its forms - fonts, interfaces, posters, typography, logos, corporate identity, print preparation.
Also drawing, painting, composition, applied art, art history.
